13^th December 2011 our sixth graders with their Science teachers Mr Krzysztof Kałucki and Ms Anna Kubeczko took part in very interesting lessons at The Copernicus Planetarium and Astronomical Observatory in Chorzów. The main aim of the event entitled „And yet it turns…” was exploration of the sky in connection with the planet Earth and its surrounding. Children had a chance to broaden their knowledge about the solar system and its influence on our planet e. g. night and day changing or seasons phenomenon. So it helped them to find the answers to many pervading  questions.  The students were not only involved  in the lessons, but also excited about the planetarium itself. It is the  biggest and the oldest planetarium in Poland was founded in 1955 to commemorate a great astronomer – Nicolaus Copernicus. It is provided with Zeiss apparatus, placed under the 23 meters dome – the screen of the artificial sky.  So, our students had great opportunity to took part in such  unique scientific event.

13 Grudnia 2011 uczniowie klas szóstych z inicjatywy  nauczycieli przyrody: mgr Krzysztofa Kałuckiego, mgr Anny Kubeczko wzięli udział w wycieczce edukacyjnej do planetarium i obserwatorium astronomicznego im. Mikołaja Kopernika w Chorzowie. Dzięki specjalistycznej aparaturze projekcyjnej umieszczonej pod 23-metrową kopułą stanowiącą ekran sztucznego nieba zaprezentowane zostały wszelkie zmiany na niebie związane ze zjawiskami na Ziemi i w jej sąsiedztwie. Uczniowie mieli okazję poszerzyć swoją wiedzę na tematy związane z Układem Słonecznym oraz jego wpływem na życie na naszą planetę. Na zajęciach dowiedzieli się więcej na temat konsekwencji ruchu obrotowego jak i obiegowego Ziemi, co pozwoliło na pełniejsze zrozumienie wielu nurtujących kwestii jak poru roku czy zmiana nocy i dnia. Nasi szóstoklasiści okazali ogromne zainteresowanie i wrócili niezwykle zadowoleni z faktu uczestnictwa w tak niezwykłym wydarzeniu naukowym.

Wycieczka została częściowo sfinansowana z funduszy programu Comenius, który jest realizowany obecnie w naszej szkole.
